Chapter 17
World War II is one of the most significant conflicts in human history: it ended the great depression, gave rise to superpowers, for years afterward, it included atrocities that fundamentally changed the perceptions of good and evil, and how nations related in the world. Here at home, it broke barriers of race and gender as everyone in society mobilized to help the war effort.
