Today, we are going to be looking at how the difference in philosophies between the United States (U.S.) and the Soviet Union (U.S.S.R.) set up a power struggle that shaped most of the 20th century. While the two countries never directly engaged in combat, fighting was conducted in smaller countries with each superpower backing a side. It also played out in a spy game in which each superpower attempted to discover the other's secrets. Really interesting stuff. Check it out!

Song of the day
Another band that shaped the late 1990s and early 2000s for me was the Dave Matthews Band. While you don't hear much from them nowadays, back in the day they a sonic powerhouse.
