Today, we continue learning about European Imperialism and turn our attention to England's colonization of India. As you read and answer the reading questions, pay particular attention to the terms "Jewel in the Crown" and Raj, as well as knowing about the Sepoy Mutiny: What Sepoy were, why they chose to revolt, and what their actions ultimately meant for India. It's an interesting story, and demonstrates how far European powers were willing to go to protect their economic interests. Also, take a look at the Module 23 Quiz Study Guide. I will not collect it, but it has essential content for any assessment on this module that may be taken when we return.

Song for the day
My kids have been busy around the house while we have been off, and they have been entertaining me with music and dancing while I am busy formatting my website. While they share their music with me, I share mine with them. I put this on yesterday evening, and it lead to a 20 minute impromptu dance party. It's a fun tune, and a great blast from the past. It's the song The Impression That I Get, from the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Enjoy.
